During the first quarter of the year, the property tax system moves from the Collection Phase to the Appraisal Phase. The transition begins with the Chief Appraiser’s delivery of the business forms to all of the businesses in our county. During the 2020 Appraisal Phase, all property in the Cherokee ISD and all new improvements and requested re-appraisals will be appraised and included into the Appraisal Roll. This process ends with the mailing of the Notice of Appraisal Values and begins the Equalization Phase.
