Deadline for 2019 Property Tax

The last day to pay 2019 property taxes without delinquency is January 31st.  While taxpayers may pay in person in our office, payments mailed and bearing a January 31st postmark will be posted as a timely payment.  Additionally, any payments in the drop box outside the Appraisal District Office before 8:00 a.m. on February 1st will be posted with an effective date of January 31, 2020. To avoid delinquency, taxes can be paid online through our website: using a credit card or echeck before midnight on January 31st Please be advised that processing fees will apply. As per Section 33.01 of the Texas Property Tax Code, 2019 tax payments remitted during the month of February will be assessed penalty and interest of 7%.  Until paid in full, additional penalty and interest will be incurred at a rate of 2% (1% penalty, 1% interest) monthly. In addition, any remaining tax due on July 1st will be assessed an additional 1% penalty and attorney fees of 15%: penalty, interest and collection costs (attorney fees) on this date will total 33%.
